Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires – Argentina (1997), where he is from.
Surgical Internship (ECVS) at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich – Germany, where he later completed postgraduate courses and joined the clinical and teaching staff in the Internal Medicine and Surgery departments of that faculty.
President of the Portuguese Association of Veterinary Specialists in Companion Animals (APMVEAC).
Member of the International Cat Care Veterinary Society (iCatCare/ISFM).
Portuguese Representative (Council Director) on the European Federation of Companion Animal Veterinarians (FECAVA).
Portuguese Representative on the Federación Iberoamericana de Asociaciones Veterinarias de Animales de Compañía (FIAVAC).
Portuguese Representative (Assembly Member) on the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) 2016-2025.
